Nói Björgvinsson is a young Icelandic-German singer-songwriter based in Germany, drawing inspiration from his Icelandic and German roots. Nói’s connection to music started at just three years old, when he received his first guitar. What began as a childhood gift gradually grew into a passion for music. Over the following years, he took guitar lessons and developed his skills as a guitarist while also discovering his passion for singing. By the age of 12, Nói had already started writing his own songs. Since then, songwriting has become an important part of his musical journey. Rather than only drawing from his own experiences, Nói also finds inspiration in conversations, people, and the stories around him. At just 13, he began performing on the streets, quickly developing a passion for street music. Performing in front of people gave him the confidence and experience to connect with increasingly larger audiences. What started with street performances gradually led to private events, live gigs, festivals, and his own concerts. Today, Nói still regularly performs on the streets while increasingly focusing on larger live performances. With nothing more than a guitar, his voice, and a loop pedal, he takes the stage alone and creates a full sound that captivates audiences. In 2026, things started to come together. Performance requests began coming in, and while managing his career independently without the backing of a label or professional team, Nói played over 30 live gigs throughout the year. One of the biggest milestones of 2026 came when Alexander Eder invited Nói to open for him in Merano, giving him the opportunity to perform in front of a large audience. The concert became one of the biggest and most meaningful moments of his career so far. Nói continues to write and produce new music mostly by himself, while building his career independently and staying true to what started it all: a guitar, a passion for music, and the desire to share his own songs with an audience.
